Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer 03 Brunettes

Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder 2015 Summer Edit

Some makeup brands add a bit of a twist for the new season and dress their products in different, often limited edition packaging. Take Tom Ford bronzers for instance. Dressed in white sleek cases with gold details for the summer 2015.

This goes to show that contrary to what some of us may say, the packaging is important to an average consumer (read: makeup enthusiast) and may just mean a difference between a buy and no buy.

Guerlain did just that and this summer came out with the very same Terracotta bronzer formula that we already know and love, but this time, dressed in a silicone sleeve in a happy, summery, bright colours.

Delilah cosmetics lipstick and mascara

Delilah Cosmetics – lipstick and mascara review and swatch

So here comes a second review of some Delilah Cosmetics goodies I recently acquired and have been thoroughly enjoying since. In my last post I reviewed their bronzer and blush, both of which I can wholeheartedly recommend, so check it here if you want to read some more about the products, see some swatches as well as a brief background of Delilah as a brand.

Delilah is a relatively new cosmetic brand, still unheard of by many, so I wanted to give it a go and see if it is worth exploring and trying out their products. They offer an extensive range of makeup from lipstick to foundations to some makeup brushes, some of which I am still yet to try for myself, but for now, I can share my thoughts on the products I have tested.

Rimmel Nude Collection nail polishes

Rimmel Nail Polish – Dare to go bare!

Rimmel released another one of their Kate Moss collaboration, this time of Nude lipsticks and nail polishes. As a nude shade enthusiast, I had to get at least some of the colours. They must be very popular, since whenever I’m around Rimmel counter, some of the colours I had my eyes on are always out of stock… That’s the beauty of limited editions I guess…

The collection consists of 5 lipsticks out of which I bought 3, if you want to see the colours I chose and some swatches, click here to read my previous post. There is also 5 nail polishes all in beautiful nude hues from the very light, to darker shades.

Clinique BB cream anti-blemish

Clinique Anti-Blemish Solution BB Cream review

Let me start by saying that I am not a massive fan of BB or CC creams. I understand the concept, but it’s just not my favourite type of base. On a daily basis I use foundations ranging from full coverage like Estee Lauder Double Wear (holy grail status) to lighter ones like Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet.

I have tried some BB and CC creams before, but wasn’t overly impressed with any of them. Some did absolutely nothing in terms of coverage, (i.e. using a normal moisturiser would have the same effect, which to me is missing the point) and others made my already oily skin even oilier and made the rest of the makeup slide off my face. So, safe to say that I approach any claims of BB or CC creams with caution.

Kate Spade planner 2016

Kate Spade 17-Month Agenda – Stylish planning

I have been on a hunt for a functional, well made annual planner for a while now and knowing I would be using it for over a year, I also wanted it to look pretty, but not too over the top so I wouldn’t get bored of it halfway through the year.

I am a firm believer in ‘To-Do’ lists, and make them all the time, both at work and in personal life. There is just something really satisfying in being able to tick off job done and move on to the next task. Not to mention, it keeps me on track of what needs doing and, however weird it may sound, it kind of gives me a push to do what I set myself to do. Not for the mere tick of the box, but the satisfaction that comes with completing a task, however big or small it may be.

Delilah Cosmetics – A brand worth exploring – review and swatches

In todays’ world of so many cosmetic, makeup and skincare brands already firmly established on the market it is difficult to launch a new offering and compete with the ‘big guns’.
We are extremely spoiled with choices and it is safe to say, that there is probably no colour, shade, tone, formula or texture that has not been offered yet.

Delilah was created by three friends, professionals with passion for cosmetics who became ‘inspired by an abundance of quintessentially English influences’ and who saw an apparent lack of boutique British brands as their niche to create something unique.
