I haven’t been so excited about a new lipstick launch for a while now and the fact it is a nude collection sealed the deal for me.

Although I like to play with colour when makeup is concerned, including lips, I feel most comfortable on a daily basis wearing a nude lip. It allows me to put a slightly heavier accent on my eyes and it is just more practical, easy to reapply during the day, or on the go.

Rimmel has just recently launched a new Kate Moss collection of 5 lipsticks and 4 nail polishes, all in gorgeous, nude hues to match every complexion and make it a perfect shade for a natural, ‘no-makeup’ makeup look.

I picked three of the lipsticks and two nail polishes, stay tuned for a separate post about the polish.

The packaging is just adorable, pastel pink with a signature Kate sign on the cap. The lipsticks are creamy enough to use without a lip balm underneath, which I often have to do, as my lips are very dry. They are very easy to apply and feel comfortable on. They have slightly sweet taste, not too strong, very pleasant.

They are claimed to have up to 8hr lasting power and I have to say, for me, it was really close to it, but since I cannot last that long without food and drink, the colour did fade a bit, which is quite normal. Not a big deal though, since they are so easy to reapply without a mirror.

I would go as far as to say that the formula is much better that some of the high end lipsticks I have tried.

Below are the swatches, quite heavy bear in mind, so each of the colours can be sheered out.

I can already tell I will be using them loads, and in fact, they have already found a home in my makeup bag.

The new collection is available at Rimmel website or Boots.
